Lipsticks For Less

Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.
Gwyneth Paltrow

Hey everyone!

I used to think that lipstick aren't really as important as eyeshadows or foundations in the makeup process but that has totally changed. I even saw this Japanese makeup guru on television saying that you have to put on your lipstick first before the eyeshadow because if you think the lipstick is enough then you don't have to do much on your eyes. So, when I scanned my makeup collection I noticed that I don't have a lot of them. Then, I searched for cheap lipsticks with good quality and so far I found 5 of them--and I decided to share it with you guys :)

**General Note: All 5 lipsticks have a goodquality and they last for hours. The pictures will show a celebrity makeup look where the lipsticks below may be used as a good inexpensive dupe**

1. Oseur' E moist 01 lipstick with Vitamin E ( 38.PHP = 0.89 USD)
a friend of mine showed me this one and I was like "WOW! It looks like you're bleeding--but in a good way!" If you're looking for that red lipstick with a plum undertone, this might be the one :)

2. Oseur' E moist 06 lipstick with Vitamin E ( 38.PHP = 0.89 USD)
I have been looking for this red-orange-ish color for a long time now. I think it's perfect for that classic look that Camilla Belle was going for in the picture below

3. Oseur' E most 09 lipstick with Vitamin E ( 38.PHP = 0.89 USD)
OMG. Now this is what I call my BARBIE PINK lipstick. 'nuff said. <3 <3 <3

I loved this lipstick so much that I tried it on my model friend, Kay :)

4. Oseur' Extra Sheer 107 Lip Tricks ( 75.PHP = 1.75 USD)
Okay so I found this gold nude-ish lipstick with an orange-undertone and I am loving it. This is also good for everyday lipstick and I believe this complements most skin tones.

5. Ever Bilena Mauvey Matte Lipstick (  99. PHP = 2.31 USD)
My cousin, who is also a MUA, showed me this lipstick and I instantly fell in love with this. It's nude and it's matte and I'm glad that gurus like Say and Noe (ColorIsMyWeapon) are loving this too.

So that's it. I hope you enjoyed. :) See you in my next blog!

Hello beautiful people of the internet. I come in peace.

I am 19 years old and I started to take interest in makeup when I was in 2nd grade. YUP. You read that right. SECOND GRADE. It was when we had to do this dance production number in our school and I noticed how my aunt did my eyebrows horribly—way too thick. I don't know if it was in fashion at that time(1998?) but it sure was a head-turner and not in a good way.

BUT don’t get me wrong I didn’t start at that young tender age to wear makeup everyday. Well, actually, up until now I still don’t. I only wear makeup during parties or school events and for an everyday look, I only wear lipstick. This is MAINLY because I live in a city where people look at you weirdly when you have makeup on and I grew up with people around me who thinks that girls who wear makeup are overrated—they would be embarrassed for you to go out in public with makeup on.

ANYWHOO, I started to really really like makeup summer last year. I needed to learn how to because I’m a photographer and I don’t want to pay a large amount of money to makeup artists for a photoshoot. So, I enrolled in the University of Youtube and I majored in Beauty. My mentors, or shall I say “professors” are Michelle Phan, Blair(JuicyStar07) and Julia(MissChievous), and a lot more. AND I thank them from the bottom of my heart <3

I live in a city where there aren't any high-end or even good drugstore products to choose from. I can only get them from the internet. But we do have good local products from Ever Bilena and Nichido. I'm still a student and I don't exactly have lots of money for me to buy good makeup. You call Maybeline, Revlon, etc. drugstore products but for a girl like me and for most locals we view them as high-end products because of the prices. So, I guess my this blog would be more on the looks-for-less and reviews on products that may seem not worth to try but are surprisingly good. So, if you're into that, I guess, I'll see you then in my next blog :)
